LA Animal Services’ Dog Posted for Adoption After 2nd Attack – Where’s GM Dana Brown?

ANIMAL WATCH-Colby Jack (shown in photo), an 8-year-old “mixed breed” dog, was surrendered by his  owner to Los Angeles Animal Services’ North Central shelter on June 18, 2021, after a dog-bite incident, and was so aggressive that the shelter veterinarian could not perform a  medical examination, according to LAAS records.

Pit Bull ‘Meat Grinder’ Attack Lawsuit Filed Against City of LA for Mauling by Dangerous Adopted Dog 

ANIMAL WATCH-On August 5, 2021, Los Angeles Dog-Bite Attorney Ken Phillips filed a Complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of Angelia Alvarado (photo above) and her husband, Jose, after she was viciously attacked by a known-dangerous Pit Bull, named O'Gee, released for adoption by Los Angeles Animal Services and former-General Manager Brenda Barnette.

New LA Animal Services GM Named – Will Shelter Doors Open for Lost Pets?

ANIMAL WATCH-LA City animal owners and taxpayers were advised on June 24 that Interim GM Dana Brown has been appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti as the General Manager to straighten out the severe problems at the floundering Los Angeles Animal Services Department, where the doors have remained essentially closed to lost and stray animals by former-GM Brenda Barnette.

Shooting A Child is a Crime – Should Owners of Pit Bulls That Kill Children be  Excused?

Pit Bull Adopted from LA Animal Services Shelter Bites Child in Face

ANIMAL WATCH-A young West Los Angeles couple, wanting to adopt a dog as a pet for the family they were planning in the near future, attended a Los Angeles Animal Services mobile pet adoption event in September 2019 and was encouraged to consider a six-year-old Pit Bull, named “Big Man,” which came with a price discount and an 8-week training program at the Lancaster, California, maximum-security prison.
