Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Saturday that Congress could reverse the 2017 GOP tax cuts, which overwhelmingly benefited the rich and large corporations, to finance the cancellation of all remaining student loan debt after President Joe Biden announced his more limited plan to wipe out $10,000 for most borrowers.

THE DOCTOR IS IN - Faux-economics gurus, faux-taxpayer experts, and faux-students rights spokesmen and "thought leaders" are weighing in on how wonderful (or dangerous) President Biden's student loan forgiveness program is.

GUEST COMMENTARY - As in Sophocles’s tragedy Oedipus Rex, we are witnessing a generational drama in which inheritors kill their proverbial father to marry their mother, in this case Mother Earth.

GUEST COMMENTARY - Right wing Israeli politicians such as former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu and even centrist politicians like caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid have fulminated against any US renewal of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

ACCORDING TO LIZ - Do we want to build a wall across the northern border to keep America isolated? 

THE VIEW FROM HERE - The number of White Supremacists is tiny. 

THE DOCTOR IS IN - Yes, President Biden surged again from the political center to the Left, and proved that it was not the legacy Joe Biden he campaigned on in 2020 who won but rather his former opponent Bernie Sanders.

THE DOC IS IN - When an NPR/Ipsos poll reports that a majority of Americans support the term "invasion" to describe the situation at our southern border, it doesn't bode well for future Congressional or Presidential races. 

ACCORDING TO LIZ - One out of every six children in the United States has a developmental disability. One in every 45 has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.  What gives? 

GUEST COMMENTARY - The Democrats are celebrating the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act over unified Republican opposition, claiming that the legislation is a historic breakthrough. Sadly, it's not.
