Sweet 16mm: Ad Nauseam – A Vintage Commercial Extravaganza

Date & Time: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 · 7:00 PM
Run Time: 85 minutes
Format: 16mm film
Venue: Vidiots

Vidiots fires up the old ELMO CL projector for Sweet 16mm: Ad Nauseam—an irresistible evening of rare commercials and promotional films screened entirely on 16mm. Spanning the late 1950s through the early 1980s, this fast-paced program delivers hundreds of 30-second slices of vintage TV: weird, wild, wacky, funny, frightening, and fabulous.

From UPA-animated Colgate spots to the mid-century dream kitchen fantasy of the Jam Handy promotional film Diana Lives, Ad Nauseam offers a kaleidoscopic look at the products—and the ad men and mad men—who shaped American consumer culture. Play “spot the budding star,” rediscover things you forgot you desperately needed, and revel in the analog glory of commercials as they were meant to be seen.

PAPER SHREDDING & E-WASTE COLLECTION DAY – CITY OF HAWTHORNE

E-waste includes any items that are electronic or have a power cord. Gates will close promptly at 12:45 p.m. to ensure all participants are served before the event concludes.
