RIGHT TO VOTE--The voting rights of hundreds of thousands of former felons in Florida were called into question Thursday after the U.S. Supreme Court allowed a lower court ruling to stand, permitting the state to bar former inmates from voting if they owe court fees or fines. 

OTHER WORDS-However much half of this country hates the other half now, it’s only going to get worse leading up to November. I don’t look forward to it. 

NEW GEOGRAPHY-Pessimism is the mood of the day, with 80 percent of Americans saying the country is generally out of control.

DISPARATE DEVASTATION-The novel SARS-CoV-2 has roared through the American landscape leaving physical, emotional, and economic devastation in its wake.
