October 3: Step Out Walk Brings Southern California Together to End Diabetes

The American Diabetes Association invites Southern Californians to take a step toward ending diabetes at Step Out Walk: Southern California, taking place Saturday, October 3, 2026, at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.

The community fundraising event welcomes people of all ages and abilities, bringing together individuals and families affected by diabetes, volunteers, advocates, and supporters. It’s an opportunity to walk together, raise awareness, and strengthen support for those living with the disease.

Funds raised help support diabetes research, education, management, and prevention, advancing the association’s mission to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of everyone affected by it.

Attendance is free. Participants can register individually, start a team, or join an existing team. Those who wish to contribute further can fundraise and encourage friends, family members, and coworkers to support their efforts.

Check-in: 7:30–9 a.m.
Walk begins: 9 a.m.
