CicLAvia—West LA Returns with First Open Streets Event of 2026

WHAT:
CicLAvia—West LA kicks off the first Open Streets event of 2026 with a three-mile, car-free route connecting Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood Blvd. For one day, streets transform into a vibrant, people-powered “pop-up park,” inviting Angelenos of all ages to walk, jog, bike, skate, or simply enjoy the scene.

WHEN:
Sunday, April 26, 2026
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

WHERE:
Santa Monica Blvd & Westwood Blvd, West Los Angeles

DETAILS:
Always free and open to the public, CicLAvia offers a unique opportunity to experience Los Angeles streets without cars. Participants can enter anywhere along the route and explore at their own pace. Two activity hubs—Santa Monica Blvd (west of Centinela) and Westwood Blvd (south of Le Conte)—feature family-friendly programming, rest areas, water stations, bike repair, and more. A Pit Stop near Purdue Ave provides additional services.

CicLAvia, inspired by Bogotá’s “ciclovía,” has been transforming LA streets since 2010—encouraging active transportation, supporting local businesses, and fostering community connection across neighborhoods.

NOTE:
Only people-powered transportation is permitted. Certain e-bikes are allowed with restrictions. Participants assume all risks.
