The summit will feature six panels of Academy members, filmmakers and special guests who will discuss their professions and the paths they took to achieve successful careers. The moderators and panelists will help students identify key knowledge areas, skills and competencies that are essential for specific jobs. Students will be able to participate in Q&A sessions at the end of each panel. Panelists will represent a wide variety of film industry jobs, including cinematography, composing, sound design, film editing, special effects makeup, visual effects, public relations, marketing and costume design. Clips from feature films – chosen by the panelists to highlight significant work – will illustrate the talks. TARGET AUDIENCE: 9th thru 12th Grade High School Students and  Any College Student with Current Student ID  IDs will be checked at the door. Admission is free, but advance tickets are required. Tickets may be obtained by clicking TICKET links below: When you register for tickets you must include "100 Black Men" in the 5th box labeled Company (after Salutation, First Name, Last Name & Suffix )  TICKET REGISTRATION All-Day Participants: 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Limited spaces, lunch will be provided.  TICKETS REGISTRATION Afternoon Session: 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Afternoon-only ticket holders may enter after lunch, at 1:30 p.m. After you register please email your CONFIRMATION NUMBER to [email protected] LOCATION (Click for map) Samuel Goldwyn Theater 8949 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90211 Free parking at 8920 Wilshire Blvd. (corner of Wilshire and LaPeer, entrance on LaPeer)   EVENT #3 WHAT: FREE African American College & Career Summit     Young Black Scholars Dress Code Policy Student's Dress and Grooming    The approved dress is Business Casual     Young Men:  slacks, docker-type pants, shirts with collars, dress shirts, polo shirts, pullover sweaters    Young Ladies: dresses, skirts, slacks, suits, blouses, sweaters, etc.  The following guidelines shall apply to attendance at all YBS activities and Events:  * YBS participants shall give proper attention to personal cleanliness and neatness of dress at all events.  * Dress, grooming, or accessories, which contain language or symbols supporting sex, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or gang association, shall not be allowed.  * No hats, baseball-type hats, or other headgear are to be worn at YBS events unless it is medically/religiously required and approved by the YBS staff.  * Long parka jackets and baggy pants are not to be worn.  * No denim (jeans, skirts, dresses, etc.) are to be worn.  * Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times.  See-through or fishnet fabrics, halter tops, off the shoulder or low-cut tops, bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, short skirts, and sheer clothing are prohibited.  * Beach walkers, slippers and/or flip flops are not to be worn.  * Tattoos and/or body piercings (if applicable) are to be covered.  * Cellphones, pagers and all audio devices must be turned off and concealed.
