“The community of Los Angeles is a vital part of our planning process,” said Brenda Barnette, general manager for LA Animal Services. “We represent people who love animals, people who are afraid of animals or those who have had problems with animals. We want to create a Department that is balanced and one that meets the needs of the entire community.”

LA Animal Services has also launched an online survey for community members who cannot attend a meeting and want to participate in the strategic planning process. The survey to complete and share feedback can be found at bit.ly/LAAS-Surveyand is available in Spanish at bit.ly/LAAS-SurveySP. Participants in the survey must live in the City of Los Angeles or own a business or work in the City.
