Editor’s Memo: Saving Granny’s Flat

CITYWATCH TODAY—The Granny Flat boogaloo makes its way on to the City Council dance card this Tuesday the 23rd. It’s a hot button matter and the odds are reasonably good the dance floor will be full. My advice: Do some prep. Let your councilperson know how you feel.

Granny Flat … or, second-dwelling-unit to some … expert Carlyle Hall can fill you in … in today’s CityWatch. He’s been there before. He knows how it works. He knows what you need to know. A little ‘homework’ will make your trip to City Hall or your call to a council office more effective.

And, the temperature is rising on an education issue and … we’ve got it covered. Summer break is getting shorter and shorter and some folks don’t see that as a good thing. CityWatch contributors Sara Roos and Ken Alpern will not only explain what has parents in a huff but … will tell you what to do about it. Also, in today’s CityWatch.

Sherman Oaks is giving us the bird, James Preston Allen wants to put the homeless in jail and Tim Deegan provides the secret to becoming an important City Hall insider. All of that … and more …

… in Today’s CityWatch.

Give it a look-see. Then tell us what you think. We like listening.
