SEE AGENDA

City Council PLUM Hearing • December 8, 2:00 pm

City Council PLUM Hearing • December 8, 2:00 pm

All aspects of the 19-Home project will be considered at the LA City Council Planning and Land Use Management Committee hearing. This includes the 19 lot Tract Map, Environmental Impact Report, California Environmental Quality Act, South Valley Area Planning Commission decisions, City Planning decisions.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!
Due to the legal limitations on the City's right to deny any housing project, specifically the Housing Accountability Act of 2019 and Senate Bill 330, Save Oak Savanna has been involved in extensive negotiations with the Developer along with the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA), Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy (SMMC), and Louisville High School to achieve a settlement by which portions of the land are preserved from any future development, in an attempt to mitigate the impacts on the community from the remaining scope of the project. While we are hopeful on concluding such a settlement prior to the PLUM hearing, we are prepared to go forward with our Appeals until we have a signed Settlement Agreement.

We realize any settlement will not satisfy everyone being impacted by the project. The Parties listed above are the only ones bound by the Settlement which, as a benefit to the developer, would prohibit/vacate the appeals by the listed Parties. Thus, the Settlement would not limit anyone else’s ability to further contest the project as they see fit, including writing the City, commenting vocally at the telephonic hearing, or other means.

Attached to this email is the hearing notice with details on how to attend and comment.

As always SOS is here to answer any questions.

Thanks for your support. Be Safe and Save Oak Savanna.
