Marilyn 100 to Celebrate Hollywood Icon in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS — Palm Springs Pride will host “Marilyn 100,” a multi-day celebration honoring what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, culminating in an attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the world’s largest gathering of Marilyn Monroe look-alikes.

Organizers expect more than 1,000 participants and approximately 4,000 spectators as downtown Palm Springs transforms into a celebration of classic Hollywood glamour with platinum wigs, white dresses, live entertainment, vendors, themed activities, and a synchronized martini toast beneath the desert sky.

The event will also feature “Marilyn’s Boutique,” where volunteers will assist attendees with costumes and wigs, along with live performances and special entertainment throughout the weekend.

Food vendors, exhibitors, and volunteers are participating in the event, which celebrates Monroe’s lasting connection to Palm Springs and her enduring legacy in popular culture.
