Join Denim Day 2025 at LA City Hall – A Rally to End Sexual Violence

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Peace Over Violence invites the public to the 26th annual Denim Day rally at Los Angeles City Hall. Community members, survivors, students, and local leaders will gather in denim—a global symbol of protest against sexual violence—to stand in solidarity with survivors and advocate for renewed support and resources.

This year’s event features powerful speeches by elected officials, moving survivor stories, a performance by Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas, and an empowerment self-defense demonstration.

Denim Day began in Los Angeles and is now observed worldwide, inspired by a 1990s Italian court case that overturned a rape conviction based on the victim’s clothing.
