CommentsRESISTANCE WATCH--Planning and coordination for the May 1st march and rally, "Resist Los Angeles," is full steam ahead as more than 60 organizations have joined the May Day Coalition of Los Angeles making it the most diverse since 2006. The Coalition meets every other Tuesday.
The May Day Coalition seeks to engage at least 100,000 persons in an act of resistance to the threats facing our democracy, civil institutions, and individual and collective rights, and to denounce the lack of compassion towards families and the most vulnerable in our society.
The march starts at MacArthur Park, west of Downtown Los Angeles, at 11 a.m. and concludes in front of City Hall with a rally.
