FRED TALK - Before you read the relevant content of this column, I thought I would share a few observations of the world we live in:
1. It's a good thing that RFK, Jr. is in the Cabinet----for the sake of America's health, no one should let him out.
2. Linda McMahon (sadly the US Secretary of Education) recently called AI multiple times in a speech A-One. While painful, one must look at the bright side--with a bottle of A One on the table not only can you add flavor to your steak but it will be able to answer any question you or dinner companions might pose---just goes to show you the value of multi-tasking!!
3. Why does Mamdani in every question asked him always include that Netanyahu is a war criminal and that genocide is taking place in Israel. He's entitled to his opinion, but why is this the answer to fixing potholes or snow removal in NYC? He can't help himself---his bigotry just oozes from his pores. He never mentions that the last general election in Gaza was in 2005 and Hamas won't hold a general election because they know they would lose. I could go on but you get the point. That said, he is always smiling which makes me think he has an endless supply of hangers.
This will be a very opinionated and long article--and all the opinions are mine. Real names will be used. If you are going to be easily offended--warning--your computer does have a delete button. One last point, no animals were harmed during the writing of this column.
A book about Nithya's life should be titled "Profile in Cowardice"-The Portrait of a Loser----Why Nithya Ramen is unfit to be Mayor of Los Angeles!
a) In an interview at the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association she said and I quote "I mean, it’s like, I don't think a kid's gonna be safe because a tent is 500' away from a school." Really!! In her mind, the homeless are more important than the children. She proudly states that she is an advocate for the Homeless--does she have the tent concession? What the city needs is an advocate for the hard working, honest citizens who pay their taxes and are watching the quality of their life decline. The city needs someone who will get the homeless off the streets. No more excuses. Small homes, 3d homes, trailer parks---all housing with indoor plumbing and kitchens. State, county and city working together--banging heads where necessary. Enough with being compassionate fools.
b) Her constituency in Sherman Oaks detest her.
c) In August, she was removed as the chair of the Housing and Homeless Committee by the City Council for being ineffective.
d) She LIED and MISREPRESENTED the impact and meaning of the ULA tax--which is pure socialist idiocy. She said it was a Mansionization Tax--in other words--let's get the rich-----failing to state that it impacted all construction and sales in both commercial and residential developments. An unequivocal Economic Disaster for the City. Building permits are down to a trickle. Hundreds of jobs or more have been lost.
e) She talks about being an immigrant as a positive campaign issue----Newsflash-Bulletin----we are all immigrants or children or grandchildren of immigrants. How does that make you capable?
f) She went on Hasan Piker's podcast who is an unrepentant antisemite. You cannot say you aren't and then hang out with someone who is. This slithering, hateful piece of humanity says every day that he is proud to hate America, and he will always take Hamas every time over Israel (just a small sampling of the drivel he spouts). He knows that hate speech gives him a good living and he loves living in the Hollywood Hills. She also said on his podcast that Israel is committing genocide--might as well join the clueless chorus.
g) I bring this up because she had no problem being on his podcast but refused to be interviewed by me for the Bel Air Association--because I wrote in many articles that she will be cancer for our city, which she will be if elected. I talked to her campaign manager--whose name is not worth repeating but another in the Bernie Sanders self-loathing camp--but said she would only do it if someone else did the interview---notwithstanding I told him that she would be treated courteously and respectfully; but there would be difficult questions she would have to answer. PROFILE IN COWARDICE. If you are afraid of being interviewed by me, you are certainly not qualified to be mayor.
h) She has no integrity. She turned on her friend Karen Bass to run for this office.
i) What exactly is her position on the police--one day she wants to defund them, the next day the opposite. She cannot be trusted to do what's right for the citizens of our city.
j) Her understanding of economics could not fill one syringe of the people she is so interested in advocating for. She has no clue how to bring business back to the city, much less a plan to keep people from leaving.
k) She wants the Socialists of America (they are not democratic) to be a partner in city hall----ughhhh! A few of the principles they advocate include defunding the police; abolishing prisons; abolishing the Senate; allowing non-citizens to vote; stop workers from being exploited (this is interesting because how can workers be exploited if there are no jobs--a serious conundrum) ----basically chaos. It's socialism which is a failed economic theory which leads to chaos which leads to totalitarianism. Karl Marx is alive and well--personally I prefer Groucho Marx---he was funny as was his brothers---they showed the absurdity of chaos in their films and their humor. Of course, young people are truly clueless about both who the Marx Bros. were, and the failed economic policies Nithya is advocating which they seem to think is a solution--it isn't. They are without a doubt--but they are also without a clue.
I am fully aware of the mistakes Karen has made, and I know many of you are angry at her and some of you will not vote. That said, whatever you think of her, for the future of our city, go the polls or mail in your ballot and vote for Karen. She has learned much and understands her failures and missteps more than most of you realize. More than that, she is really a very decent human being (something anyone with a brain would never say about Nithya). I think she will make a much better Mayor this term. One final thought--if anyone thinks Nithya will improve the condition of the city, you are seriously wrong--and if she's elected Mayor, the city will find a lower level in the basement. My words!!
