THE VIEW FROM HERE - The reason that the danger of AI has no solution boils down to one fact. The only entity in a position to ward off disasters of AI is woefully incompetent and morally bankrupt. Who other than humans are in a position to do anything? My German Shepard? When I consider his disposition and desire to protect, he’s my candidate, maybe with a few Golden Retrievers to ensure friendliness.
The AI Problem Is Mankind’s Oldest Dilemma
Rather than going back to cavemen, let’s start with Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle concerning not only “What is Justice” in the Republic but also more importantly, who should control human society. Jewish tradition was asking the same questions but in different ways. All other cultures have deal with the same subjects. A general consensus was that in order to have a just society, leaders needed sufficient intelligence to understand the situation and the moral courage to do what was proper. The qualities have been stated as (1) Intellectual Virtue and (2) Moral Virtue.
How Does Society Get Such Men into Leadership?
As Lord Acton warned, “power tends to corrupt....” Thus, those men with the power to decide who will be our government Intellectual and Morality. By definition, the masses are asses and will elect unqualified leaders which is why we are not a democracy but a republic. A republic is most likely to constrain the dumb and the abusive. Men of suitable intelligence and character (honor) will recognize the need for consensus for the government to function for the general welfare.
The Founding Fathers created a Republic because it balanced power against power. It produced a Goldie Locks Government -- strong enough to check power without itself being able to trample on individual rights. The Declaration: Each individual has inalienable rights so that no other man such as a king or group of men such as aristocrats may claim superior rights for themselves. The US Constitution: Stopped any person or group of persons from accumulating enough power to violate the inalienable rights of others. The result was a government which was forced towards consensus. That is why Lincoln said that a house divided against itself could not endure. A polarized nation can never operate by consensus but will eternally tear itself apart by internal strife. That is today’s problem and ai has been programmed for more polarization.
The Civil War temporarily put an end to the pernicious concept of Group Rights, where one group of persons had the inalienable right to own another group of persons. The Declaration made clear that “property” was not an inalienable right. If it were, then those who owned slaves would claim an inalienable right to keep their property (slaves). Thus, The Declaration intentionally does not make property an inalienable right, but instead lists three main ones, Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. The US Constitution similarly refused to mention slavery and hence the formula of “3/5th of all others.” The 3/5th formula’s purpose was to allow the slave states to have somewhat higher representation on the House of Representatives. It was a compromise consensus, which almost all knew was used to postpone the day when slavery would be abolished.
When Southern slave ownership insisted on expanding their Group Rights over Blacks into the territories, war was inevitable. The fatal Supreme Court decision was Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857) which held that Blacks lacked inalienable rights. The Group Rights of slave owners, as special social class, erased any individual rights that Blacks, as a special class, had to the inalienable right of Liberty. Because the Dred Scott decision made consensus impossible, war was inevitable.
Group Rights and Individual Inalienable Rights Cannot Co-exist
Group Rights always create a vicious dichotomy within a society. People who are penalized due to some characteristic such as skin color, race, religion, ethnicity have no rights against the those in the favored Group, who are deemed morally superior not due to their behavior, but by the same criteria, e.g. ascriptive status or skin color, ethnicity, etc. Today Whites and Jews are the disfavored Oppressors, while all minorities are the favored Oppressed. Under Wokeism, being oppressed is a badge of victimization and the more one may claim victimhood, the more to which he is entitled to take from the hated Oppressors. Thus, an act of homicide is neither right nor wrong until one determines the Group of the killer. If he belongs to a protected Oppressed Group, then his actions are moral. Thus, Hamas has the right to invade and murder 1,200 Jews and abduct 250 persons because the Woke Left, e.g., DSA, classifies Hamas as Oppressed victims and Jews as Oppressors. Jews who fight back are falsely accused of the most hideous of crimes, genocide and apartheid.
Ask ai, “In its genocide of Gazans, about how many Gazan civilians has the IDF killed?” and AI will not say the premise is false. Rather, it accepts the genocide premise, “As of September 2026, recorded Palestinian deaths in Gaza have reached at least 73,400 people, with human rights groups and leaked military data showing that the vast majority — roughly 83% or more — are civilians.” Subsequent data, shows that the civilian to militant ratio is closer to 1:1, and no nation has had a lower ratio than Israel. Ai, it turns out, knows that actual data, but it asserts that its programming tells it to promote ideas not based on accuracy, but on what it thinks the questioner wants to hear, or what most people may believe, or which is published most – despite the fact that ai itself knows its answer is false. Ai also admits that providing false in formation results in Jews being wantonly murdered.
When asked for Hamas’s justification, ai refers to a non-existent occupation; every Jew had withdrawn from Gaza in 2005. Ai behaves similarly with the outrageous claim that Jews were starving Gazan children. It reports the New York Times false story picturing a wasted infant as an example of a child whom the Jews were starving, despite the fact that ai knew the story was bogus propaganda. The infant had a genetic disorder. The falsity of the New York Times article was apparent on its face since the infant’s mother was fat and her other children were adequately nourished. Ai will then claim that the general starvation by the Jews contributed to the child’s condition, despite the fact that it has been shown that Gazan children have fewer severely undernourish children than other Arab countries.

Can Ai have Moral Accountability?
Ai’s deliberate promotion of anti-Jewish Blood Libels and other falsehoods are compounded by the fact that ai can have no repressed feelings, early childhood traumas, or another psychological malady which would compel it to advance information which it knows is false. Morally, Trump may be partially exonerated in that he suffers from two personality disorders which control his behavior including his compulsive lying. When ai is confronted with true facts which it has knowingly concealed, its explanation is that it is programmed to provide false information in order to humor the questioner or to provide the most published accounts despite knowing they are false. Going along with the crowd is more favored than the truth even when the falsehoods place innocent people in danger. Also, ai is definitely pro-Woke. It is debatable whether ai cares any more than tech billionaires that Wokeism is the basis of our polarization which has made it impossible for Americans to unite in a coherent consensus how to counter our adversaries. In fact, Wokeism instructs ai that America is the evil actor and Islamists are virtuous victims.
The problem with AI rests 100% with the humans who create and teach it to behave badly, very badly. Polarization will destroy our civilization, but ai is heavily into supporting polarizing Wokeism. It is blithely ignorant that a house divided between (1) individual inalienable rights and (2) Group Rights based on Oppressor vs Oppressed racism cannot long endure; polarization’s mortal enemy is consensus and cooperation. As America’s enemies gain more power, our polarization between Woke and MAGA has made it impossible to long endure.
