No Love For the Slaughtered Iranian People? Were Pro-Gaza Marchers Pro-Hamas/Iran Terrorists All Along?

VOICES

ALPERN AT LARGE - As the old expression goes, the silence is deafening.

Armies of “Pro-Palestine” and “We’re not antisemitic, we’re just declaring Netanyahu and Israel to be modern-day Nazis” mobs vanished after Trump (yeah, THAT guy) brokered the return of the Israeli hostages and demanded Hamas be removed from control of Gaza.

But now the self-appointed freedom fighters on our campuses and in our cities have the opportunity to decry a downright intentional slaughter of Iranian civilians (children included).

And, for those of us who care and remember, the slaughter of Nigerian Christians in churches and villages minding their own business from ISIS-affiliated gangs of the Boko Haram movement.

Silence—no condemnation of Iran. Silence.

What’s going on here, professional protestors?

Didn’t realize that the Iranian mullahs and their regime were the central nervous system of global terrorism?

Didn’t realize that the Iranian government has no problem killing 12-20,000 civilians outright, unlike the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) who did all they could to take out the Hamas terrorists without killing those civilians?

Didn’t get enough resources from Iranians abroad and in the West like those given by organizations from Qatar and Iran to foment havoc in our universities, and intimidate faculty and Jewish students, so to heck with the Iranian people?

Didn’t care enough about Iranian and other civilians because attention is now focused on ICE and Greenland?

Didn’t want to fail out of school altogether, and/or didn’t get enough money as paid protestors to focus on true, intentional civilian slaughter in the Middle East and adjacent regions?

Didn’t get enough leadership from Greta Thunberg, AOC, and Bernie Sanders to rally behind the Iranian people, who’ve suffered from a terrible theocracy for 50 years?

Or maybe the professional protestors just didn’t and still don’t like Jews (and Christians, to boot), and don’t give a rip when a true holocaust/mass murder actually occurs. And…YES, there are no shortage of Jews who seem to enjoy attacking other Jews instead of defending a community they forgot they were part of.

Either way, it’s truly awful, and probably worsened by generations of gullible people who’ve never picked up a history book, and/or wouldn’t give a damn about the history and other information that book would offer.

Which begs the question: which side are they, and the rest of us, choosing to be on?
