THE VIEW FROM HERE - Stephen Miller’s extreme anti-Mexican racism has been traced to when he was 14 years old (born Aug 1885). During Middle School, Miller had been close friends with Jason Islas, but that summer Miller had stopped speaking to Islas. At the end of summer just prior to their entering Santa Monica High School, Miller telephoned Islas and explained, “I can’t be your friend anymore because you are Latino.” Miller’s family, however, was not anti-Mexican. Also, being anti-any group is incompatible with Jewish values and history going back to the time of Abraham. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is about treating strangers badly and not a condemnation of Gays.
To be fair to Miller, some of the statements which are recited to highlight his being ant-Mexican are actually pro-Mexican. Miller opposed the Left’s treating of all Mexicans as inherently inferior. For example:
“Even so, pursuant to district policy, all announcements are written in both Spanish and English. By providing a crutch now, we are preventing Spanish speakers from standing on their own,” he added. “As politically correct as this may be, it demeans the immigrant population as incompetent and makes a mockery of the American ideal of personal accomplishment.” See Jezebel on Stephen Miller
Miller was correct that Left policies towards Mexicans were bigoted and harmed Mexicans. In East LA, many Spanish only speaking Mexican elementary school students were forced into Spanish only classes, where they had no exposure to English. How Miller went from attacking Left polices that harmed Mexicans and other minorities to being a rabid anti-Mexican racist is not explained. Early on, Miller recognized that many Muslims were actually Islamists, a fact which today’s Woke Left refuses to admit in its head-first plunge into anti-Semitism and support for Hamas.
While young Stephen Miller may have had the seeds of a rational critique of the racist nature of the Left, he has ended up as the most racist White House advisor in the last thirty years. From the outset of Trump’s first presidential campaign, Miller has been crucial in having Trump alienate the Mexican community and by extension other communities who fall under the rubric Hispanic. Trump’s characterizing Mexican immigrants as "rapists" and "drug dealers" is a significant departure from the younger Miller’s saying that Mexicans were being shortchanged by lowered standards. Miller has gone so far into bigotry that his closest parallel seems to be 1930's Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.
Trump Needs Centrist Voters to Win
Trump fails to recognize that he did not win the November 2024 election; the woke Dems lost it. Likewise, Biden did not win the November 2020 election; Trumpism lost the election. The same holds for the 2016 election. Trump did not win; woke Hillary lost it by calling millions of Americans a “basket of deplorables.” The Dems are more disliked than Trump, but Stephen Miller has laid the groundwork for Trump to lose control of the House and perhaps even of the Senate in November 2026.
We all should note is that Hakeem Jeffries and Kamala Harris are the two worst whiners in world history.
Deporting “The Worst of the Worst”
Whoever came up with this meme for Trump merits Trump’s eternal gratitude. It turned a highly racist, far right wing pro White Supremacist agenda into mainstream Centrist. Entire urban areas had turned against the Left’s pro criminal agenda, where marauding bands of minorities would invade stores looting them of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Angelenos were tired of Mayor Bass’ sanctioning of Woke political violence, e.g., Jason Reedy’s stalking and attacking Councilmember Kevin de León..
Trump’s Obvious Approach was Deal With Sanctuary Cities
Due to Stephen Miller’s racist influence, Trump never tried for a deal with Sanctuary Cities where they cooperate to focus on criminals and ICE would leave the laws abiding illegals alone. With that win under his belt, Trump could propose a new immigration bill. Trump does not care about MAGA. Trump only cares about his being a Winner. If the Dems would not cooperate in apprehending criminals, Trump could blame all the crime on Woke Dems. It was win-win. Instead, Trump federalized the California National Guard and stationed US Marines in Los Angeles. ICE was subjected to Stephen Miller’s screaming hissy fit that ICE had to deport 3,000 illegals per day. The only way to even attempt so many deportations was to attack America’s permanent communities of Mexicans, legal and illegal. A huge percentage of Mexicans have US citizen spouses and children, not to mention millions of Anglo friends. Many owned businesses and for decades, they had been contributing members to Los Angeles and all the other cities and towns where they resided.
While the pro Unitary Executive Theory Supreme Court members like Chief Justice Roberts saw nothing wrong with ICE’s attacking all dark-skinned people including US citizens, finally Stephen Millers’ racism was more than even the Supreme Court could tolerate and it fired a warning shot across Trump’s bow by not supporting Trump in Trump vs Illinois. Trump’s anti-anti-immigrant policies were so outlandishly unpopular that even the Supreme Court responded to the backlash. Trump was forced to recall the National Guard troops from Los Angeles, Chicago and Portland.
Now that Trump has arrested Venezuela’s dictator Maduro, Trump faces the repercussion of Stephen Miller’s anti-Venezuelan tirades. The new story is that Venezuelans were victims of international criminals supported by Iran, Russia and China, and these thugs are not Venezuela’s legitimate government. Thus, Stephen Miller’s anti Venezuelan racism provides no foundation for Trump’s seizure of Maduro. Rather than prepare Americans to help these refugees and fight Communist encroachment as did Kennedy with the Cuban Missile Crisis, Americans have no preparation for Trump South American adventurism. Trump has allowed Stephen Miller’s psychopathic racism to undercut everything he is doing in Venezuela.
But Wait, it Gets Worse
Stephen Miller has brought Trump to an inane confrontation with Mexico. The USA’s take down of Panama’s Noriega switched the drug route from Miami to Mexico. Trump now needs Mexico’s cooperation to resurrect the Monroe Doctrine. Prior to Miller’s racism, North America’s three countries were united. Thanks to Stephen Miller, Trump has alienated both Mexico and Canada.
Trump foolishly to allowed Stephen Miller to make Trump into an anathema in our Mexican communities. But for Miller’s racism, it is doubtful that Trump would be facing a Dem landslide in November 2026.
