THE VIEW FROM HERE - Although Kristi Noem was clear on Thursday, June 12, 2025 about Trump’s purpose, it has been overshadowed by the Secret Service’s physical attack on Sen. Alex Padilla when he spoke up as soon as Kristi Noem had stated:
“We [Homeland Security and the military) are staying here to liberate this city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country...”

While this column previously inserted the Noem Video, some people chose to ignore it and instead claim that Senator Padilla charged Secretary Noem without identifying himself. Thus, if a reader still does not know what Secretary Noem said and still believes that Sen. Padilla did not identify himself, please view the video. Go to Settings and slow it down to 50% speed and turn op the volume if need be: (1) Noem admitted the ICE’s purpose was to have ICE and military replace LA government, and (2) Sen. Padilla was physically shoved and dragged out of the room after Noem knew the Senator was being attacked. Also, please note that has Noem not retracted her statement nor apologized for the physical abuse of the California’s Senior US Senator, nor President Donald, the world’s most habitual tweeter, denied the accuracy of Noem’s admission nor apologized to the Senator.
Because so many people fail to watch the video and nonetheless deny Secretary’s words, here is full paragraph:
“The Department of Homeland Security and officers and agencies and the departments in the miliary people that are working on this operation will continue to sustain and increase our operations in this city. We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate this city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to ..(unintelligible).” (Bold added) Noem Video See 5:16 - 5:30
Also, note upon her admission that Trump’s purpose to liberate Los Angeles and California by his use of ICE and the US military, Sen. Padilla speaks up, is attacked, identifies himself and is manhandled out of the room. The nation needs to focus on Noem’s words more than on the attack on Senator Padilla. Let’s be clear, Noem said the purpose of ICE and the military is to liberate Los Angeles and California from its socialists and burdensome leadership. In brief, those words mean a military coup of Los Angeles and California.
But Wait, There Is More: ICE Sets up the LAPD
ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons falsely accused the LAPD for taking "over two hours" to respond to an incident were anti-ICE protesters confronted federal agents. Lyons’s statement is completely false; ICE’s actions were a calculated set up of the LAPD. Lyons falsely claimed:
"Our brave officers were vastly outnumbered, as over 1,000 rioters surrounded and attacked a federal building," Lyons said in a statement, referring to the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building in downtown L.A. "It took over two hours for the Los Angeles Police Department to respond, despite being called multiple times."
The reality is different:
1. ICE was safely within the Federal Building and there was no need for it to leave.
2. If there were danger, ICE should have called the LAPD. ICE did not call the LAPD! In fact, ICE made no contact with the LAPD to notify its location. It is customary for one law enforcement agency to notify LAPD when it enters Los Angeles to conduct its duties. Due to reports from citizens, LAPD knew that ICE was operating within LA but it did not know exactly where, when, or how many. This notification is not a request for LAPD cooperation in ICE’s immigration raids. Todd Lyons knows that the LAPD’s duty is to protect everyone including ICE agents, and thus, he had a duty to call the LAPD if ICE was in danger.
3. ICE grouped inside its garage while there was a handful of peaceful protestors on the sidewalk. Without warning, ICE charged from its garage firing tear gas and allegedly pepper gas.
4. After ICE initiated this totally unprovoked attack on protestors, then ICE called the LAPD and falsely claimed that ICE was under attack.
5. ICE’s Director Todd Lyons knew for a fact that a call for this magnitude of force to protect ICE from over 1,000 protestors required the LAPD to assemble a squad of officers from around the city, ascertain the nature and extent of the threat to ICE, and then send out the LAPD contingent after it had been briefed on the nature of the emergency. ICE’s call was not similar to a homeowner’s calling about a burglary where one or two cop cars may respond within moments. The LAPD responded within 40 minutes. Not two hours! Let’s be clear: when Todd Lyons’ claimed the LAPD took two hours, he had to know that he was lying.
6. Lyons’ set up of the LAPD was to manufacture a bogus case that the LAPD could not or would not protect ICE, and thus, Donald Trump had to federalize the California National Guard.
7. Had ICE perceived a threat, it should have remained within the federal building and called the LAPD and waited for the LAPD to gather enough officers to protect ICE. Not only did ICE not need protection, it lied about the LAPD’s response time. One can see how ICE’s set up of the LAPD is consistent with Trump’s plan is to have a military take-over of Los Angeles.
The Real Reason Trump Federalized the California National Guard
Trump’s goal is to have the US Military, e.g., the Marines, take over Los Angeles “socialist and burdensome leadership” that so Los Angeles’ de facto rulers become Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump. Trump’s planning makes sense. Trump’s had to recognize that Gov. Newsom might quell the unrest and violence, which Trump’s raids on Mexican citizens and the deportation of long term peaceful non-criminal residents, would cause. If the LAPD alone could not control the violence, it has thousands of LA Sheriffs. Furthermore, through LA Sheriff Luna’s Unity Command , Newsom has access to all the various law enforcement agencies in LA County (we have 88 cities), the CJP, and from surrounding counties. If for some reason Unity Command could not stop the violence, Newsom’s next option was to call out the California National Guard. Trump, however, made that impossible because Trump federalized the National Guard.
US Attorney, Bill Essayli – Another Conspirator in the Attempted Militarization of Los Angeles.
US Attorney Bill Essayli was at Noem’s news conference, standing within a few feet of Senator Padilla. Essayli knows Senator Padilla on sight. Yet, Essayli stood by as California Sen. Alex Padilla was physically abused and manhandled out of the room. This video shows the locations of US Attorney Essayli, Secretary Noem, and Senator Padilla within the room as the Senator was being accosted . See cell phone video at 0.35. US Attorney Essayli is the man in the suit to the far right, standing along the wall in Secretary Noem’s entourage.
As this cell phone video which is inserted into MSNBC’s broadcast shows, US Bill Essayli had an unobstructed view of the Senator. The idea that the US Attorney did not recognize the State’s senior Senator is hogwash? Before he was US Attorney, Essayli was California State Assemblyman from 2022 to 2025. Essayli is no newcomer to California; he was born here. He knew Senator Padilla was being attacked and Essayli could have stopped it by simply saying, “Yes, he is US Senator Padilla.” Both Noem and Essayli remained silent when they had a duty to speak up.
US Attorney Essayli has not disputed Kristi Noem’s claim that the purpose of the military’s being in Los Angeles is to overthrow our duly elected government. US Attorney Essayli instituted the practice of ICE’s showing at LA schools on the fraudulent representations that parents had asked them to make welfare checks on their children. In response to these bogus welfare checks on children, California Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff wrote to Essayli, in part, "Though the agents were purportedly there to conduct a 'welfare check' on the children, their actions instead terrorized hundreds of thousands of students across Los Angeles . . “ See KABC Ap 23 Can one think of a more depraved way to treat a vulnerable community than to terrorize and deport their children?
How can the Federal Courts allow such a biased person serve as a US prosecutor? Prosecutors are legally bound to be independent and to see seek justice based on facts and not on political bias. Essayli’s lawless behavior in trying to victimize school children and in his watching Sen. Padilla’s being attacked and hauled off out of the room disqualify Essayli to serve as US Attorney.
Essayli’s and Noem’s Victimization of Both Legal and Illegal Immigrants and Their Children Is a Political Liability to President Trump
The real culprit for this terrorizing and victimizing of LA’s Mexicans appears to be Trump’s own version of Joseph Goebbles, Stephen Miller. Per the Sunday morning talk shows, Miller advised Trump to deport decent, hardworking, but undocumented Mexicans, in order to increase of deportation numbers to 1,000 per day. That absurd goal is based on racism. Already, LA businesses are struggling because Miller’s vicious anti-Mexican policies have terrorized farm workers, store employees, hotel workers, car washer employees, factory workers in the garment industry, etc. not to show up for work. Under Miller, Noem, and Essayli, Trump is bringing an economic meltdown on Los Angeles. This time, however, Trump already recognizes that terrorizing millions of people including their children is a horrible policy.
By listening to perhaps his most racist and vicious advisor, Stephen Miller, Trump has experienced the worse PR disaster of his life. Not only is Miller’s plan torpedoing the economy, but Miller’s polices sabotaged Trump $45 million military parade to celebrate his 79th birthday by provoking over 2,000 local “No King” protests on the very same day. Even Trump has to recognize when he has been upstaged and who is responsible.
