HIGHWAY ACCIDENTS -A new study revealed that California reported the nation’s seventh highest search interest for auto accident attorneys, underscoring growing concern over post-crash legal help.

The research, conducted by DeHoyos Accident Attorneys, analyzed Google Keyword Planner data for 15 attorney-related search terms across all 50 U.S. states. The study calculated the average monthly searches per 100,000 residents in 2025, revealing where Americans are most likely to seek legal assistance following an auto accident.

California ranks seventh with 535 searches per 100,000 residents, which is 112% above the national average of 252. With a population of 39,663,800, the Golden State recorded 212,230 searches for terms such as “auto accident law firm near me” and “good auto accident attorney.”

Looking at the study, a spokesperson from DeHoyos Accident Attorneys commented:

“These search patterns reveal a growing public awareness about the importance of legal protection after traffic collisions. California has the seventh highest interest and often faces traffic, accident rates, and complex insurance claims – factors that drive more people to seek legal help online.”

Methodology

The study analyzed Google Keyword Planner data across all 50 U.S. states in 2025 for 15 search terms related to auto accident attorneys. It measured the average number of monthly searches per 100,000 residents to identify where Americans are most actively seeking legal help after car accidents. Higher numbers indicate greater public interest in accident-related legal services relative to population size.
