UPDATE: Vacant Seat for LACCD to be Appointed by its Board of Trustees from Qualified Applicants

BULLETIN-The nine colleges of the Los Angeles Community College District are managed by a Board of Trustees with seven positions elected District-wide by the electorate, and a Student Trustee elected by the students of the District. A Trustee position that has become vacant (Seat No. 3) will be filled by the remaining Trustees who will appoint a qualified person to serve through December 14, 2020.

BULLETIN-The nine colleges of the Los Angeles Community College District are managed by a Board of Trustees with seven positions elected District-wide by the electorate, and a Student Trustee elected by the students of the District. A Trustee position that has become vacant (Seat No. 3) will be filled by the remaining Trustees who will appoint a qualified person to serve through December 14, 2020.

The Board of Trustees will consider the applications during a public meeting on June 8, 2018. An additional meeting may be called on June 12, 2018, if no candidate is selected during the June 8 meeting. Public notice will be provided. In order to allow for appropriate orientation and preparation, the new Trustee will be sworn in during the Board meeting scheduled for July 11, 2018.

Applications must include responses to a questionnaire, a resume or curriculum vitae, and other supportive materials the applicant feels are relevant. The maximum materials that may be submitted by an applicant are ten (10) single-sided pages. The required questionnaire is available by contacting the LACCD’s Office of General Counsel at (213) 891-2188.
