I Am a Refugee From the Democratic Party Now That It’s Officially in Bed With the Democratic Socialists

POLITICS

ABE WON’T BE SILENT - It’s Time for Me, as a Zionist, to Take a Leading Role in Building America’s Next Independence Movement!

After October 7 — and, notably, not just for Jews — it has become painfully clear that the two traditional political parties no longer reflect the moral landscape of America. Liberals, centrists, conservatives, gays, lesbians, Black, white, Latino, and everyone in between are finding themselves politically homeless. Just look at the massive and diverse #WalkAway movement.

The Democratic Party, once a natural home for liberal Zionists, has allowed an activist fringe — the Democratic Socialists — to dominate the conversation and win key elections. On college campuses, in city streets, and across progressive organizing spaces, Zionism has been turned into a slur, ignoring its roots in survival and self-determination. And we’ve had it.

Meanwhile, the Republican Party is split between traditional pro-Israel conservatives and an isolationist wing steeped in Christian nationalism and “America First” rhetoric — a space where Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes, and Candace Owens are bastardizing the conservative movement and alienating millions of sane Christians who support Israel, all in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s senseless killing. Still lurking on its fringes are the same voices who marched in Charlottesville chanting, “Jews will not replace us.”

Both parties suck.

There is a void in real, compassionate leadership. It’s pathetic to watch while the media tap-dances for clickbait, excusing politicians as they spew nonsense and vile rhetoric. The next chapter of American politics cannot come exclusively from the existing parties. The void is too large, the rot too deep, and the public’s disillusionment too widespread. A new Independent movement isn’t just viable — it’s necessary. Sanity must be on the ballot in 2026.

Across the country, small independent organizations are emerging — the Forward Party, No Labels, the Serve America Movement, and dozens more. They are admirable, earnest, and, in some cases, well-funded. But they lack a moral core. They lack a unifying narrative powerful enough to inspire not just voters, but a nation.

That’s where my Zionist instincts have been activated — to act up and help.

Zionism is not a partisan identity. It is a worldview shaped by history, responsibility, and resilience. It is the belief that a people can refuse erasure. That trauma does not silence us — it galvanizes us. We understand how extremism spreads and what survival requires. Those who believe the vile crap that the “Free Palestine-aholics” are spewing proves nothing but pure ignorance. Pather

America needs clarity and purpose now.

Together, those who feel politically homeless must build a broad, inclusive Independent coalition — grounded in democratic values, courage, and moral strength. A movement that welcomes exhausted Democrats, principled Republicans, moderates, immigrants, gay and lesbian Americans, people of faith, secular idealists, and yes, Zionists — everyone who is sick of being told that the only choices are outrage or surrender.

[SIDEBAR] I’ve said this many times since 2016, after Hillary Clinton lost to Trump: if all the smart Never Trumpers, along with the wiser Democrats, had galvanized back then and started building an alternative movement, we would not be here today. Instead, they became bloviators on MSNBC, FOX, and CNN — cable networks that have now been rendered not just useless, but dangerous.

We need an Independent movement that rejects political violence in all forms.

A movement that embraces — and proudly represents — the true moral, silent majority of this country.

We are in fact the backbone of American democracy — the quiet storm that will emerge in the 2026 election cycle and beyond. The adults in the room. The ones who still believe in decency, in dialogue, safe borders, and in the hard work required to build a fair, just, and safe land of the free. No more kowtowing to the face-covered zombies who threaten the very existence of Jews, Christians, and the enduring beauty of the Constitution.

We know how to build movements from the ground up.
We know how to unify people around purpose.
We know how to turn despair into determination.
And we know that silence is never an option.

So today, I am staking a claim — publicly, unapologetically:

Join me in building America’s next Independent political stronghold.

Not to divide the country further, but to heal it.
Not to replace the two parties, but to embrace those who feel homeless, rudderless, and hopeless for a better path forward.
To give a voice to the true silent majority.

Your voice is your vote!
