ABE WON’T BE SILENT - Los Angeles native Loren Colin has officially entered the race for California’s 34th Congressional District, bringing a bold and independent vision to one of the nation’s most dynamic and diverse communities. A longtime Angeleno with deep civic and professional roots in the city, Colin is running as an independent candidate—untethered from party politics—and aims to bring real representation and transformative change to Washington.

At the heart of the Loren Colin for Congress campaign is a straightforward but ambitious platform known as “The Five Guarantees,” a set of core promises built on pro-American values and social equity:

  1. A living wage for every full-time job, enough to afford housing, food, and basic needs.

  2. Universal healthcare for all Americans.

  3. Universal education that provides opportunity from preschool to higher education.

  4. A strong national defense rooted in common-sense priorities.

  5. The freedom to live your life without interference from government or special interests.

“These are not radical ideas—they are fundamental American values,” said Colin. “But decades of political dysfunction have put them out of reach for most people, especially here in Los Angeles.”

Colin is particularly focused on the economic imbalance in the country, calling out wealth hoarding by the ultra-rich and multinational corporations as the root of many systemic challenges—from housing insecurity to healthcare access.

“It’s time to tax excessive wealth and return that stolen value to the people who actually created it,” Colin said. “The people of this district work hard. They deserve a government that works for them—not for billionaires and corporate lobbyists.”

Colin’s campaign also challenges the dominance of the two-party system, which he describes as a “power-sharing duopoly” that has failed to deliver for everyday Americans. He believes that the rise of independent candidates is critical to returning power to the people and ensuring authentic, accountable leadership.
