Coro's Women in Leadership Luncheon

Here at Coro, we believe that contributing to women’s leadership growth and professional networks is essential to the success of Southern California and our world. In 2019, we launched our Women in Leadership (WIL) program, bringing together mid-career women across the private, nonprofit, and government sectors to expand their leadership capacities, equipping them with the skills and network to drive impact at work and in their communities. Since then, 226 women have gone through the program, building a strong network of women who support one another’s personal and professional growth.

We are excited to host our third annual Women in Leadership Luncheon on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Skirball Cultural Center to celebrate the transformative impact that women leaders are having on our region and democracy, and to engage and connect civic leaders and advocates for women's leadership. The Luncheon will feature a keynote speaker and a panel of women leaders from across industries and sectors to share their leadership journeys.

We hope you're able to join us to hear from women trailblazers and celebrate women's leadership. We will be announcing our event speakers over the coming weeks. Visit the link below to learn more about the event, purchase tickets, and view sponsorship opportunities.

Hope to see you there!

The PPCC Land Use Committee (LUC) will meet via Zoom on January 11, 2022, from 5:30-7:30pm, to discuss the matter of zoning regulations for residential properties in Pacific Palisades that meet the following three criteria:

                         1) zoned R1 one-family;
                         2) designated as non-hillside; and
                         3) located in the coastal zone.

The LUC will seek input from community members as to whether or not a change in the current zoning regulations for these properties should be requested and if so, how the regulations should be changed.

This issue arose from construction of a large residence in the lower Marquez neighborhood (depicted above) which raised neighboring residents' concerns and led to the PPCC LUC's review of the project's status and of the development standards applicable to this project and similarly-situated properties in Pacific Palisades.

LUC Meeting Information - Seeking Public Input
Interested Palisades residents, especially those of properties that meet all three of the above criteria, are encouraged to review the information and attend the January 11th LUC meeting to provide input.

Comments may also be submitted via email to LUC Chair Howard Robinson no later than 2pm on 1/11/22.  Comments from residents of all Palisades areas are welcome; if commenting via email please let the LUC Chair know generally where you live and if you know whether your property meets the three criteria identified above.

All are invited to the meeting on January 11th!
