(RE)Defining Zionism: Portraits and Perspectives from a Post-October 7 Israel

As student activism faces increasing backlash across U.S. campuses, this powerful photo exhibit challenges the dominant narratives around Zionism. Photographer Shlomit Levy Bard traveled throughout Israel—Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Beersheva, and along the Gaza border—capturing the faces and voices of over 60 Israelis from diverse backgrounds: Jewish, Muslim, Druze, and Christian.

Through intimate portraits and personal testimony, the exhibit invites students and visitors to explore the complexity of Zionism in the aftermath of October 7. It confronts ideological binaries and opens space for real conversation.
