Support the 2023/2024 American Youth Symphony Season

We are asking for your support ahead of the 2023/24 season! As you might know the close of our fiscal year is fast approaching, and your support at this time can prove critical. In order to support this fiscal year-end push, an anonymous donor has agreed to match any contributions that are made anytime before midnight on June 30, up to $8,000. This is a great opportunity to renew your membership, champion sponsorship, or to contribute in an amount that is meaningful to you; as any donation you make during this short period will be doubled! A contribution at this moment will have an immediate impact and allow us to hit the ground running as we enter audition season and get ready to announce our upcoming concerts.

If you would like to participate in this campaign, you can make a donation today through our website, or by mailing a check to: 841 Apollo Street, Suite 344, El Segundo, CA 90245. If you are mailing a check be sure it is dated before June 30 2023. You can also make a donation by phone at: (310) 470-2332.

As you know, AYS concerts are truly unique. Many of our musician-fellows will one day occupy the nation’s most important orchestras and cultural institutions, but at each AYS performance, these promising talents have their first contact with some of the greatest works and composers in the symphonic canon. This year our musician-fellows got to discover a dizzying amount of masterpieces, from Mahler’s first symphony, to Britten’s colossal War Requiem, to Esa-Pekka Salonen’s LA Variations. The musicians in our program were left inspired, and prepared to face their future in an ever-changing classical music landscape.

We hope you know that our mission also includes you, our AYS community! We know many of you have also had “first contact” with some of the finest works at an AYS performance. We believe it is this act of discovery that heightens the excitement, freshness, and novelty of each AYS performance. This is usually so hard to capture in the concert hall, but it is a feat AYS accomplishes year after year.

We hope you will consider supporting AYS, and thank you for your trust, and for investing your time and resources in the cultivation of a strong future for classical music in America.
