City of Lynwood to Host Community Clean-up Event

The City of Lynwood, in partnership with Lynwood Unified School District and the Reformed Church of Los Angeles, invites residents to participate in a Community Clean-Up on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Abbott Elementary School, 5260 Clark Street.

This community event offers residents and community members an opportunity to make a positive impact on the City. Participants will receive a free t-shirt, and students who volunteer will receive community service credits. Activities will include mural painting and tree planting.

“This Community Clean-Up demonstrates Lynwood’s commitment to strengthening community pride and promoting a clean environment,” saidMayor Rita Soto.” I’m excited for residents to come together and make a lasting impact on our community.”

Community organizers, business owners, vendors or anyone who has ties to Lynwood are encouraged to join. Volunteer check in begins at 7:45 a.m. Comfortable shoes and clothes, sunscreen and hats are recommended, while all other supplies will be distributed at the site.
