WHAT: L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K Run/1K Kiddie & PAW’er Dog Run/Walk & 19/50-Mile Bike Ride — Celebrating 46 years, the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest running races in the U.S. with its upcoming Lunar New Year run, walk, cycling and dog walk events held over the weekend of February 24-25, 2024, at the historic Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza.
Registration is now open for the Year of the Dragon 46th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker with a choice to participate in-person or virtually. Each registered participant receives a commemorative 2024 Firecracker race bib, exclusive collectible finisher’s medal, limited edition t-shirt (Paw’er Dogs receive their own commemorative Firecracker t-shirt), goody bag, and much more. All registered participants 21+ years of age are also eligible for one complimentary beer at the Beer Garden. In addition, participants and their guests will enjoy the Lunar New Year Celebration in the heart of historic Chinatown with an opening ceremony filled with lion dancers and the traditional lighting of 100,000 firecrackers. The Firecracker festival includes vendors and booths. The 46thAnnual Firecracker has been approved as a 2024 USATF Sanctioned Event.
The annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is produced by the nonprofit L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee (LACFRC), a group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to organize and stage events and programs promoting healthy lifestyles, fitness, cultural awareness to the greater Los Angeles community. All proceeds are reinvested in the community and surrounding areas in support of elementary schools and other non-profit organizations, providing service and programs.

WELLNESS--You may be familiar with the term “Sound Bath” as it has become more and more popular, especially within the spiritual, yoga, and meditation communities. Although it has nothing to do with getting wet, many would liken it to being cleansed from the inside out.
