Talk is Cheap: We Will Never Defeat Russia If We're Buying Their Oil

VOICES

THE DOCTOR IS IN - Vladimir Putin? Not a fan. Xi of China? Not a fan. Kim of North Korea? Not a fan.

But I am also NOT a fan of double-talk and BS'ing the American people.

Like it or not, President Joe Biden has made a career out of lying, double-talk, and plagiarism. He was elected only because his name was NOT Donald Trump. And now the American People who voted him into the White House are seriously having some buyer's remorse (or at least those who can't afford keeping up with rising gas prices, food prices, and everything else).

Hate him or love him, or even just tolerate him, former President Trump got America Energy-Independent for the first time since former President Jimmy Carter called for our nation to embrace that goal of Energy Independence in the 1970's.

And then Joe Biden--as he did for Trump's Mideast Peace, Southern Border, Jobs Back to the U.S., Funding Historically Black College Initiatives--threw all that away because (gasp!) Donald Trump initiated those overall-popular Initiatives that the American People DID like (even if they despised our past president, and even if they still do).

Unite America? Keep energy independence for the U.S.? Control our borders? Keep our cities and armed forces strong?

Not THIS President.

President Biden's State of the Union address defined many problems for our nation to confront together. But a joke of that address are the many problems CREATED by President Biden for which the American People (even those who couldn't stand his predecessor in the White House) didn't want.

We shut down the Keystone Pipeline and stopped all sorts of near-term energy needs--not everyone can afford electric vehicles and solar-powered roofs, and we simply don't have the capacity to power our nation with "green energy" right now.

And an honest engineer will tell us all that only carbon-based and nuclear-based energy has the muscle for us all to live in a 21st-Century technology and standard of life. Solar and wind and the like are nice icings on the cake that is our energy grid...but they're not a cake for us to partake and meet our needs.

Which is why we're (AGAIN!) begging the Saudis and the Russians for oil like we did before President Trump took office, and if President Biden means business he can and should acknowledge what is necessary to do to realistically and long-term allow America to not be beholden to evil states like Russia and some of our OPEC "friends".

The Keystone Pipeline...time to revisit and build it!

Perhaps it's also time to call out our fairly-new president as to why he supported the Russia-to-Germany oil pipeline while thrashing his predecessor's efforts to have the U.S. support Europe's energy needs.

And our moronic Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stating we don't want "permanent solutions to short-term problems?"

Lovely, just lovely. Because long-term solutions are just a horrible way to run our nation, isn't it, Mr. Buttigieg and Biden?

Furthermore, this lack of a coherent energy policy pretty much leaves us with nothing to allow the U.S. to be safe and strong in our 21st Century chaotic world.

And while we're at it, the faux no-fly zone of Russian planes over United Space is nothing, too.

NOTHING.

A real no-fly zone of Russian planes over Ukrainian airspace that actually has military teeth to it? Now THAT would be a powerful statement of support that the Ukrainian people really need.

Of course, if we did that, how else would President Biden ever be able to crawl on his knees to Vladimir Putin while he claims in his State of the Union that he will stand toe to toe against the Enemies of the Free World?
