Editor’s Memo: The Meaning of Trust

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY—The most confounding but entertaining primary election circus in American history has come and gone. The country’s political experts are at a loss. The country’s political establishment is at a loss. And, no matter how loudly frustrated and angry voters and activists spoke … none of the experts or establishment seemed to hear a word. THE word: Trust.

Donald Trump followers have said that they don’t care what their candidate says. Whether it’s truthful or not. He’s speaking from the heart … and they can TRUST that.

Hillary Clinton’s greatest general election challenge will be countering the ‘can’t be TRUSTED’ label.

It is dumbfounding, as we watch LA’s electeds manipulate the people and maneuver the City’s political maze, that none of them appear to have heard this primary season’s most important message: TRUST matters!

Either our representatives haven’t heard the word … or, simply, are totally unfamiliar with what the word means. We have to ask: do they know the meaning of the word TRUST?

I’m posing the question because LA Watchdog Jack Humphreville pulls back the curtain on a rent deal our City Hall electeds have concocted that once again sticks it to the DWP ratepayers. It is so blatant the even we ordinary folks can see through the scam … the City overcharging the DWP for rent. Yet another less than subtle form of taxation.

Jack’s column is a must read … in CityWatch Today.

Let us know what you think.
