Lookin’ Hot for a Buck: Fitness Clothing at Danny’s Warehouse

For those of you who do not familiar with Zumba, it is a choreographed fitness program, very similar to a dance class with routines encompassing all kinds of rhythms like Salsa, Bollywood, Hip Hop, all fused together an hour of sweaty and increased heart-rate fun. 

I love Zumba. In fact, you could say that I am a Zumba junkie attending classes three times per week. 

When I go to class, I want to make sure that I look as hot as I feel. Therefore the clothes I wear are really important.  

Not just any workout top and stretch pants will do. You want to wear clothes that look good when you move. There is a Zumba trademark line of clothes designed by Zumba creator Alberto Perez consisting of loose fitting tops, cargo pants with tassels on the back pockets in the exact position to shake and twirl when you are doing the Salsa, and Zumba logoed wristbands. But that is not necessary. With a little imagination, you can get pull together a great Zumba look. Danny’s is an extraordinary dancewear warehouse. If you do not mind going through bins and racks of leotards, tights, spandex pants, sports bras, yoga pants, etc., you can find unbelievable treasures. Here is a picture of me with a workout top in black with neon green trim, not bad for $1. 

All dance shoes no matter the type, ballet, tap, split toe dance sneakers, all $10. Many of them are name brand like Capezios. It is a huge savings compared to the $50-100 price tags at other specialty dance stores. 

Also if you are in the market for Halloween costumes, funky clothes, hats, leg warmers, dance videos and music, come to Danny’s with an open mind. You may waltz out the door with some new threads and footgear. 

They have limited store hours.  They are opened Sunday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.  That means that re not opened on Saturdays and can be very busy on Sundays. All sales are final, no exchanges or returns.
