Where was the ACLU?

ARCHIVE

VOICES-(Re: ‘Restore the LA Sheriff’s Department …’)  Where was the ACLU when the Sheriff's department dropped the ball on her case? Can't blame Tanaka.

The culture within LASD began long before Tanaka become 2nd in command. However, the one constant was Inspector General Max Huntsman.

His sole job was to be the Board of Supervisors eyes and ears and he consistent failed.

To truly have an oversight committee that works, Mr. Huntsman needs to be removed as well.

To keep the committee beholden to the taxpayers, they should receive a stipend for their service.

On another note, what is the ACLU doing for the true oppressor of prisoners rights, Sheriff Joe in Arizona?

He's under a federal decree and there has been NO call for his being removed but I forgot, Arizona is a red state.
