#  The Art Of\_: An Online Auction Fostering Creativity for a Cause

CHARITY ART EVENT - The power of art lies not only in its ability to captivate the senses but also in its capacity to ignite change, provoke thought, and give voice to marginalized communities. In the spirit of this transformative potential, The Laurel Foundation proudly presents its annual international online art auction, "The Art Of\_," from January 8th to 18th, 2024, with a VIP Art Viewing Party on January 16th at Bonhams Los Angeles. This event, generously sponsored by Bonhams and Lexus, converges renowned and emerging artists, celebrating creativity while supporting transgender/gender-diverse youth and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

A Platform for Creative Expression:

For over three decades, The Laurel Foundation has been a beacon of hope, providing free mental health and support programs for transgender/gender-diverse youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS. "The Art Of\_" is more than an auction; it's a celebration of art as a vehicle for change. As Margot Anderson, founder and CEO of The Laurel Foundation, aptly puts it, "Art possesses the ability to stir emotions, inspire hope and joy, and influence societal viewpoints, ultimately playing a role in fostering social change."

An Impressive Lineup of Artists:

This year's event brings together an eclectic mix of artists, ranging from internationally acclaimed figures like Laurel Holloman and Shepard Fairey to gallery favorites including William Wray, Jack Winthrop, Monica Ord, Aaron Stansberry, RF Alvarez, William J. O'Brien, Ranier Hosch, Leonard Marmol, Dani Torrent, Neil Gilks, Cherie Harte, David Krovblit, Alicia Savio, and Jun Yang. Moreover, the auction proudly showcases the talents of transgender/gender-diverse artists Danielle Paris and Ayin Es, nationally recognized HIV+ artist Patrick Brown, and up-and-coming talents like Cortney Herron, Sam Culp, Noah James Saunders, and Kylie Ames, alongside international artists Tomáš Jetela and Johannes Gustafsson.

Fostering Change and Empowering Artists:

"The Art Of\_" serves a dual purpose: to support The Laurel Foundation's mission and to shine a spotlight on artists from within the community it serves. This auction offers a platform for these talented individuals whose work deserves recognition and appreciation within the broader arts community.

The Auction Details:

The international [online auction](https://www.bonhams.com/auction/29455/the-art-of-supporting-the-laurel-foundation/) will feature 77 donated contemporary paintings, sculptures, and photographs. Bidding will commence on January 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM PST and conclude on January 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM PST. Moreover, a special Viewing Party will take place on January 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Bonhams, with a VIP viewing from 6:30 to 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity to meet select artists and celebrities. Ticket options range from $40 (general admission) to $125 (VIP admission).
