ACCORDING TO LIZ - Has he no shame? Or is he so egoistic that he is forever removed from the perceptions of the rest of the universe?

Yes. He’s crazy but still crazy like a fox as we saw back in 2016 where he received uncalled for amounts of publicity for free just by saying the outrageous.

Since outrageous grabs eyeballs and eyeballs for advertising sells papers and TV spots, the more outrageous his statements were, the more inflammatory his rallies, the more free coverage he received.

Shock and horror. And, although we knew it was coming (just look at the effort he put into build the non-suspense), the announcement he would be running for President in 2024 to make the US “great and glorious again” proved the point. He got press.

Even if he could not rally the Republicans in the wake of what was one of the most unexpected mid-term results in a century.

What have we the public and his political opponents in both parties learnt from his 2016 campaign?

Can we ignore this announcement as the non-news it is, an attempt to regain the political spotlight and divert attention from possible imprisonment for a plethora of illegal actions?

And can we decide to ignore his prosecutions so as not to gin up more support from his cuckooland followers whose passion in life is to yell and scream and adulate the one who enables their own bad behavior with total disregard to anyone else’s rights.

Can people learn to ostracize this excuse for an American, can we determinedly turn our backs on his shenanigans as we would put a raging toddler in a time-out to calm down rather than engaging with their belligerent behavior?

Can the world, can the news cycles, can we as individuals keep our attention off of his temper tantrums, exaggerations, and lies?

Can we curtail our criticisms and avoid repeating the same rinse-and-spin cycle of past years?

We must refuse to call out his lies. Because in calling them out, we only amplify them. We put him back in the spotlight he flourished in for five long years. And for which he clearly pines.

Can we and, especially, all media voices (or at least those that wish to maintain some sort of credibility) just focus on the truth this time and keep repeating it, again and again and again, until this decrepit human excrescence creeps off center stage once and for all time and can finally be flushed down the toilet and out of our lives.

Can we?
