It is a place where you can find the best tacos in the world at a gas station and then see a movie star at the grocery store. But let's be real. It is also an incredibly expensive place to call home. If you aren't careful, the cost of living can start to feel like a weight that never goes away.

Managing your finances here isn't just about math. It is about survival and peace of mind. To keep the stress levels down, you need a strategy that works with the rhythm of the city. Here are seven money habits that can help make your life in LA a lot more manageable.

### 1. Embrace the Side Hustle Culture

In this city, almost everyone has a second thing going on. Whether it is driving for a ride share service, selling vintage clothes, or doing freelance graphic design, having multiple streams of income is a standard move.
