> **WHAT:** While most do their part for Coastal Cleanup Day by removing trash and recyclables from the sand, Los Angeles Waterkeeper takes the endeavor to new depths: underwater. With volunteer divers and nearby workforce who care about their local waters, the offshore/onshore cleanup sets out to clean up one of Los Angeles’ most pollution-prone beaches.

LA Waterkeeper asks residents to consider ditching the most popular beach cleanups – which can have more volunteers than necessary – and head to a location that needs the most love and more volunteers.
