| It’s out! It’s big and bold and it's going to transform Los Angeles! Have you seen it? I’m talking about Metro’s plan for the ballot measure. Now LA Metro wants to hear from YOU about how to make it even better. LA Metro is holding public forums across the county in April starting on Tuesday. LA Metro’s plan is a major commitment to building the world-class transit system LA County needs. It includes light rail, subway, arterials, first &amp; last mile, bus rapid transit and bus improvements all over the county. The transit expansion and road improvements will create new jobs and make it easier for people to walk and bicycle. New money for operations will keep fares low while service expands. Wow! Even with all these exciting new investments, there are big opportunities to do even more! Big opportunities like: changing out the diesel trucks on our roads to clean trucks. Like taking seriously the burdens created by rail construction in neighborhoods and helping the small businesses and residents who are hurt by it. Like investing in our vast network of arterials and boulevards to relieve traffic congestion in a way to builds communities**.** Like doing more for seniors and people with disabilities, whose numbers are expected to double by 2050.
