Registration is now open for the annual **Griffith Park Run Half Marathon &amp; 5K**, a popular, family-friendly event that draws runners, walkers, and park lovers from across Los Angeles. Last year’s race welcomed around **1,000 participants**, and the 2026 edition is expected to be even bigger.

The event partially benefits the **Los Angeles Parks Foundation**, supporting efforts to keep L.A.’s public parks beautiful, accessible, and thriving for everyone. Founded in 2008, the foundation works to enhance and preserve parks, recreational areas, and open spaces across the city.

The **Half Marathon** offers a truly unique course, guiding runners along Griffith Park’s main trails and past well-known landmarks including the park’s iconic merry-go-round and the **Autry Museum of the American West**. The **5K** route is scenic, flat, and shaded—ideal for beginners and casual participants.

**New for 2026:** Dogs can officially register and run alongside their humans in the **5K**, adding an extra dose of fun to this community-focused event.
