# On Trump's "Criminals"

RESISTANCE WATCH--The kids are still waiting and the lies are still flying, abetted by Trump's willingness to exploit any grief or hardship in the name of perpetuating the lie that is his border "crisis" and obscene response to it.
Cue Friday's tacky "Angel Parents" event, wherein he giddily [paraded](https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/22/trump-autographed-photos-of-dead-crime-victims-for-white-house-event.html) 11 families of those killed by "criminal illegal aliens" - mostly in car crashes - onto a stage emblazoned with “Protect Our Communities” and “Secure Our Borders” in order to "honor American victims of illegal immigration.”
He did so by [autographing](http://theweek.com/speedreads/780849/trump-autographed-photos-people-murdered-by-undocumented-immigrants) each of their large [photographs ](https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1010257002478620673)of loved ones - yes, he autographed the pictures of their dead relatives - making jokes about how great the dead relatives looked - “This is Tom Selleck, except better looking!” - and repeating entirely bogus statistics to prove that immigrants = crime.
"These are the American citizens permanently separated from their loved ones,” he [proclaimed. ](https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1010246126820347906)“These are the families the media ignores...Very unfair.”
Here's what's unfair. He is [shattering](https://www.msnbc.com/craig-melvin/watch/joy-reid-and-cal-perry-get-a-first-look-inside-a-tent-camp-for-migrant-children-1263533635776), likely irreparably, thousands of children and families based on a series of[ lies ](https://www.npr.org/2018/05/02/607652253/studies-say-illegal-immigration-does-not-increase-violent-crime)that have been repeatedly and comprehensively debunked. The lies range from his preposterous [claim ](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2018/06/22/the-original-source-for-trumps-claim-of-63000-immigrant-murders-bad-data-from-steve-king-in-2005/?utm_term=.105f1e42ec5b)at the event that 63,000 Americans have been killed by undocumented immigrants since 9/11 to his insistence that "rampant crime" accompanies immigrants despite mountains of evidence proving exactly the opposite - that immigrants, legal or not, commit crime at a dramatically lower rate than native born Americans. They call bullshit to the incessant fiction, robotically [repeated ](https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/press-briefing-press-secretary-sarah-sanders-062518/)Monday by Sarah "Still Hungry" Sanders, that this [carnage ](https://www.dallasnews.com/news/immigration/2018/06/23/lawmakers-get-close-look-border-crisis-protesters-call-tolerance)is needed to stop the dangerous [criminals,](https://twitter.com/davidcruzradio) rapists and drug dealers - see front and below - currently languishing in kiddie prisons along the border. Keep [calling them out](https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/immigration-border-crisis/imam-reveals-story-behind-haunting-image-border-processing-facility-n886201). They're lying.
