Most of our leaders seem hell bent on circumventing the Constitution with their corporate lobbyists and foreign funds and agendas. So why should we eagerly embrace the Convention of States?

> Bill Thornton posed the questions that are on our minds;
>
> 1. Do you think the untrustworthy legislatures can now be trusted to "improve" the US Constitution for our benefit?
> 2. Do you think the quality of representation will be anything close to the quality of the founders?
> 3. Do you think the corporations will idly stand by to let the representatives do their work?
> 4. If they are ignoring the Constitution now, do you think they will actually obey the new constitution?

> Thornton acknowledges that “The state legislatures have a reliable record of passing statutes that step by step deprive the citizens of their rights” and “Because of U.S. Constitution limitations, they have been repeatedly reversed.” But now “we see a pattern of the Constitution being ignored in favor of corporations.”

> It appears to be a leap of faith into the abyss. But either way you look at it, the constitution is being ignored and treated as irrelevant. So you will have to fight for your liberties, but the enemies of liberty will be flushed out into the daylight once and for all. What we do next will change our history forever.

> With a total of 40 states expected to file COS Resolutions, (26 states filed to date), the 38 states requirement is nearing a reality. It is no wonder that 18% of Americans polled in a Gallup March 8th survey found that the #1 problem in America is their government. This overshadowed many serious concerns like economy, terrorism, immigration, and so forth.
