#  Oops! U.S. Publishes Details On Secret Israeli Missile Site and Everyone Freaks Out … about the Wrong Thing

including not just location but details like plumbing and electrical specs - for a U.S.-funded, $25 million, state-of-the art [**missile base**](http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/06/03/3431313/us-publishes-details-of-missile.html) to house Israel's new [**Arrow 3** ](http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/israel-fast-tracks-development-of-arrow-iii-defense-system-over-iran-concerns.premium-1.527538)defense system.

The leak, published in contractor bidding documents required in all Defense Department projects, was blasted by Israeli military officials as "shocking."

More shocking, though, is the scarcity of those [**questioning**](http://www.richardsilverstein.com/2013/06/04/janes-u-s-built-100-million-base-to-house-israels-most-advanced-arrow-3-abm-to-counter-iran/) why America is building these things for Israel in the first place. Since 1998, the U.S. has constructed about $500 million in Israeli military facilities; since Israel's founding, we have [**given** ](http://www.haaretz.com/business/u-s-aid-to-israel-totals-233-7b-over-six-decades.premium-1.510592)it over $233 billion in aid; just think what that money could have bought.
