# ‘Free Waffles Every Tuesday Morning!’: Ferrell Steps Into Mayoral Race

**LOS ANGELES ([CBSLA.com](http://CBSLA.com))** — One of Hollywood’s leading comedy stars is hoping to turn laughter into votes in the race for the next mayor of Los Angeles.
Will Ferrell is featured in [a video posted on YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJqRHAqwCgI&feature=youtu.be) urging voters to support mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti.
The former “Saturday Night Live” and “Anchorman” star opens the video with one of his signature – and seemingly improvised – comedy riffs.
“You may remember me from movies like ‘Expendables 2′, ‘The Day of the Dolphin’, or ‘Harlem Nights’,” Ferrell says.
