You're invited to participate in the Second Annual Matthew Butcher Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 17, 2012 -- Matthew's birthday -- at Matt's home course, Brookside (#1) in Pasadena.

Tournament format is a 4-man scramble starting at 1 PM, check-in begins at 11 AM.  Reception starts at 6 PM with a buffet dinner to follow.

The golf tournament supports the work of the Matthew Butcher Memorial Foundation, organized following the tragic and violent murder of Matt Butcher on June 24, 2010. The goal of the foundation is: to honor Matt's memory and legacy by supporting and encouraging acts of kindness, charity, and good works in the communities of Northeast Los Angeles.

Proudly, the Matt Butcher Memorial Foundation has made its first contribution to First Tee of Pasadena. The First Tee's mission and purpose -- to impact the lives of the young people of San Gabriel Valley by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. We strive to provide affordable and accessible golf facilities to primarily serve youth who have not previously had exposure to the game and its positive values -- rings so true as we seek to honor Matt's memory by supporting good work.

Kids, golf, the communities of northeast Los Angeles -- it's an honor!
