Let’s Recall the Sore Losers

VOICES-VOICES-(In response to the Rosemary Jenkins City Watch article ‘WhenRecall Becomes Necessary’)  

 I must admit that I am impressed with your writing skills and commend you for the time, effort and research done on this piece, even when the sole purpose of it is to discredit an elected official. Not surprised if this comes with the help from a sore losing team; it is sad to see your talent and abilities doing their duty work!

I agree with you with regards to the Assembly Member needing improvements on her public speaking skills, the use of the English language (written and spoken) and her knowledge of the legislative process, however, the people she met walking the streets during her campaign, did not have a problem supporting or voting for her and they were all exposed to these elements in her persona!

On the other hand, if you are telling the (22k plus) people that voted for her that they do not know how to choose a candidate, perhaps you should consider that they might have been tired of the same people playing musical chairs with elected positions.

The fact that her opponent did not bothered to campaign, as he should have, demonstrated his overconfident and arrogant way to take for granted the people that provided his opportunities. Will you hold that against the Assembly Member too?

I personally know many other elected officials with bad writing and poor spelling, do you honestly think people care about their writing skills more than their decisions in office?

Your comments about her education, reading and writing being at an elementary grade level are nothing more than a personal attack that demonstrates your poor personal qualities. Patty Lopez did qualify to be on the ballot, so your comments are nullified!

As for the quality of her staff; did you know that the buzz in Sacramento was that anyone working with her would not be able to continue working in Sacramento after she left office, and that they would not wait for next elections? Are you just helping the effort that started the day she won?

With regards to her chief of staff incident, she knew he was gay when she hired him; he was also elected to the Board of Education in the Montclair/Ontario District. Do you think he could have served in both places at the same time? Who do you think is lying to whom?

Regarding your comments about the hiring of Republicans, if it is illegal for a Democrat Assembly Member to hire staff members from the Republican Party, why not file charges?

As an elected official, she needs to work with everyone in her district, what is wrong with sitting at the same table and work collaborative for the greater good?

You also mentioned the Assembly member is a recipient of public funds ($800.00 p/m) for the caring of her mother; this might be the case but is it against law? She has been getting this service since before she was in office. We both know many elected and none elected officials benefiting from subsided programs that they qualified for, while in office!

You stated that she owns apartment buildings under the husband’s name; they have been married for 28 years, does it really matter whose name is on the title? Once again, poor personal quality! Your article is nothing more than a personal attack on the Assembly Member in the attempt to validate the efforts of removing her from an office that, those with special interests want. How low are you willing to go in this effort?
