LANCC Features Elections, Sober Living Homes Print E-mail
LA Ahead
By David Lowell

The City’s Planning Department will offer up some new ordinances … including zoning for controversial sober living homes … at this Saturday’s LA Neighborhood Council Coalition session.  The owners of sober living facilities have been arguing for months with neighborhood homeowners on acceptable locations for their recovery homes.

The LANCC will also hold its first election of officers in a year and a half. The Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer seats are up for election. A dearth of candidates have announced in advance, however it is expected that the candidate numbers will swell on Saturday as nominations are taken from the floor.

The LANCC will meet in Hollywood this month … at the City’s Hollywood Neighborhood City Hall at 6501 Fountain Ave. Meeting starts at 10 a.m. Parking is free on the streets and behind the building.
