Nominations open this week for the election of officers to the LA NC Coalition (LANCC).
Nominations will be taken by e-mail and from the floor the day of the election. Nominators can self nominate or nominate others. Only requirement is: the nominee must be an official neighborhood council representative.
The election will be held on September 6 at the DWP Headquarters Building at First and Hope Streets at 10 a.m.

CITY COUNCIL-And all council committees are in recess until August 29.
NC BOARD MEMBER TRAINING—The Carol Baker Tharp Neighborhood Leadership Institute will host an orientation and training session for neighborhood council board members this week.
August 21 at 6 p.m. at the Westside Pavilion-10800 W Pico Blvd. (More info and agenda, call 213.485.1360.)
